I drove to the Four Mile Run sewer plant at noon today, but could not find parking on S. Eads Street.

So, I had to drive to shopping center and park there. I had my 2 fishing rods in my right hand and the minnow traps in a bucker and in my left hand - totally loaded. I hiked in my heavy wader across a 4 lanes busy street and then walk over a bridge and then continue to walk almost a mile to the sewer plant. By the time I got to the fishing spot on the river, I was sweating like a pig. Luckily the river was cold, so I dunked myself in the dirty sewer infested water.

Make matters worse - I skunked today without catching a single fish.

Honda 5hp outboard motor

Bought a used Honda 5hp 4 cycle 1 cylinder outboard motor but low compression only 70 psi, so it may hard to start and idle difficult. We will see when I get the gas to run it.

I got to my usual spot around noon time on Saturday 12/13/2014. The tide was just going out. Water was very high. I didn't catch anything after half an hour. So, I moved down and found the girls softball field. I went down to the shore and it was too shallow to fish. I went across the river over Rt 1 bridge, and found the street entrance closer to the discharge.


I started to fish again, fish on. A big one too, so I fished for my video camera and my line was going out, a really big fish. Ouch! My line snapped on me, Bummer! Time to replace my lines.

I went to Advance auto parts to borrow the Actron AutoScanner Plus to check the service engine light code.


P160 I think is the o2 sensor light need to be replaced

Gas Heater Furnace won't turn on

Boy it is getting colder in my house?


Thermostat control shows 70 degrees F, but the room temperature don't feel warm. Check the room temperature with a gauge, wow 60 degrees F. Open the hot water heater door and found the pilot light was out. So I managed to light the pilot light. Hmn, the room is still cold? Why?


It turn out I lit the water heater pilot light instead of the gas heater furnace.


There is no pilot light for gas heater furnace. I found the power box and turn off and on the power breaker for the gas heater furnace (which is 10B as indicated on the map), but still no fire.


I didn't give up and tried 1 more time. But, this time I flip the circuit breaker off and on for both 10A and 10B instead of 10B as my last try before I call for help. Voila, the furnace fan kicked on immediately, I waited 15-20 seconds and I saw 1" red beams started to show up in the dark furnace. I waited for another 15 seconds. Boom, all cylinders fired up and my furnace is fixed. UP AND RUNNING beautifully.

How to light the pilot light of a hot water?

I was sitting in the room and it keeps getting colder. Check the thermal control. and it was still set at 70 degrees Fahrenheit, but i just don't feel that warm. Check the room temperature with a gauge and wow it is only 60 degrees Fahrenheit. So, I checked the furnace, and wow the pilot light was out?
So, I grabbed the flash light, BBQ lighter and my HD camcorder to light the pilot light.

Thanks God, nothing was broken. I re-lit the pilot light and everything is good. Room is warm now.

I got to the Four Mile Run river trail on today at about 1:20pm. Saw 3 fly fishermen across the river wading in the river. 1 of them was extremely effective. He caught 4 fish (bass and blue gill) while I was there for about 30 minutes.

It was low tide when I got there.

I landed my first bass of the day on my 3rd cast. Amazing fishing opportunity at this location. I also landed another blue gill later using spoons, and I pulled the fish out of the water and onto the shore. But, he was jumping and flipped himself back to the water before I could take a picture of the blue gill - bummer. I quit around 3pm.

It was a very nice productive day without my canoe with me.
